Teachers Everywhere Are Learning from the Inside Out!
“My students love these diagrams. This is a great way to prepare students for actual dissections and as a substitute for those students that will not participate in dissections. Wonderful resource overall. “
Cara S., Middle School Science Educator
“My son and I used this in his 10th-grade homeschool year for biology. These paper dissections replaced “real” dissections because he couldn’t handle the smell of formaldehyde. It was a fantastic resource, and we both learned a lot! I recommend this to my friends all the time!”
Jenny W., Middle School Science Educator
“I can’t say enough good things about this resource! We completed this activity before beginning our fetal pig Dissection. It gave students a great idea of what they would expect during the dissection such as placement and orientation. It was extremely successful! Thank you!”
Lani B., Secondary Science Educator

Hi, I'm Mel!
I love bringing science, art and my passion for saving the planet together in my lessons. Before becoming a full-time curriculum developer, I worked at an International Baccalaureate school in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve flown on Zero-G with other teachers, worked alongside marine biologists at Skidaway Island, exhibited at NSTA and CAST conferences across the country as the “Mel” behind Getting Nerdy with Mel and Gerdy, and I recently became a certified Master Naturalist! I have a life full of rambunctious girls and dogs, carpools and playdates, and in my not-so-free-time, I’m creating for you!
